"S" For He, She & It Verbs, Plus 3 Irregular forms

Remember the "s" in 3rd-person forms.

For Chinese learners of English, one of the most common challenges is mastering the use of the letter "s" for verb conjugation and pluralization. Here are some common errors to avoid and corrections to make:

  1. For third-person singular verb conjugation, add "s" to the base form of the verb. For example, "He walk" should be corrected to "He walks." This is a prevalent problem for Chinese people who are working on their English.

  2. Remember that three irregular verbs do not follow this rule and that the verb "to be" changes form in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd person.

    1. Be - I am, You are, He/She/It is,

    2. Have - I/You have, He/She/It has

    3. Do - I/You do, He/She/It does

Attention, practice, and speaking with the intention of "getting it right" will eventually become habits.
